Virtual CloneDrive allows you to put the files created by CloneDVD in use (those can be located on your hard drive or a network), and play them like normal DVDs. Virtual CloneDrive is an application for creating virtual drives. You can specify how many drives you need, and these will automatically appear in My Computer. You do not even have to run the program to mount or unmount an image, as the very My Computer window will give you that option via the right mouse button menu. In short, this is one of the best utilities for virtual disks, as the program allows you to enjoy the freedom of a virtual disk for free.
You can download ISO images and mount a drive with that disk very easily, thus allowing yourself to work with it as if it were a physical drive. But you must bear in mind that the access will be a little slower. Among the most relevant features of this version I can mention support for Windows Vista 64bit, emulation of BD, BDR and BDRE media and updated language files. On top of all, Virtual CloneDrive is freeware. |
